About Us

At Big Horn Outfitters, we strive to make your Colorado hunting experience as enjoyable and successful as we possibly can. We are a Father/Son team with over 60 years of hunting and outdoor experience. Our base camp and drop camps are located  on the northern section of Routt National Forest special permit area north of Hayden Colorado.

The area our hunters will be utilizing ranges in altitudes of 8000’ to over 10,000’ elevation and encompasses terrain consisting of grassy slopes, aspen-filed valleys and some rugged black timber forest which stretches as far as you can see. The hunt area is for fair chase hunting only and we cannot guarantee that you will fill your tags, however, we will work hard to make your trip an experience of a lifetime. 

You will experience a very comfortable hunting camp with everything needed to prepare delicious meals, warm comfortable cots for sleeping and personal care facilities.
